This policy explains what data StyleScope (“we”, “our”, “the site”) collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your text is never uploaded. We have no servers that receive your drafts, no accounts, and no database of your content.

1. Text you analyze stays on your device

All tools, including the Writing Style Analyzer, run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you paste or type text, the analysis happens locally. We do not transmit your text, store it, or share it. There is no backend API involved.

2. Local browser storage

Two features use your browser's local storage and never leave your device:

Favorites — the list of tools and guides you bookmark (ids, titles, links).
Analyzer history — your last analyses (preview and text) so you can return to them.
Preferences — your language (English / 中文) and light / dark theme choice.

You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain. None of it is accessible to us.

3. Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense)

The site is free and supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings, and learn more in Google's advertising policies.

When you visit this site, Google may collect standard web analytics information (such as browser type, pages visited, approximate region) through its ad technology. We do not combine that information with your analyzed text — your text is never sent to us or to Google.

4. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (for example aggregate, cookieless measurements) to understand which pages are useful. If we enable a third-party analytics service, it will be named here and covered by its own policies; it will not receive your text.

5. Contact and email

If you email us at zjp133@outlook.com, we use your message only to respond. We do not add you to mailing lists, and we do not sell or rent your contact details.

6. Children

StyleScope is a general-purpose writing utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal data from visitors, no parental-consent mechanism is required or available.

7. Third-party links

Guides may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced on the home page.
